Shopping at 72 Shoe Boutique just got a lot easier. Now the stylish stilletos are offered at two Charlotte locations (Blakeney and now available at Blacklion on Park Road) and their online store www.72ShoeBoutique.com. Its just what we need – options, options, options!
Jennifer Keen, Owner of 72 Shoe Boutique fills us in on what’s new for 72 Shoe.
When did you launch your new website?
www.72shoeboutique.com was launched October 1st.
Why did you launch the website?
Ecommerce is a growing industry and a lot more people are shopping online. We wanted to expand the branding of 72 Shoe Boutique, along with the opportunity to reach a new market of customers.
What’s new in your store?
We are carrying Flow by Tara Davis , her dresses, clutches and belts. I really love her designs; such fresh and easy to wear looks. Her dresses are made in the USA! In 2012 we will be carrying JPK and Sondra Roberts handbags, Soludos, Jack Rogers, Cocobelle and an emerging designer from London Sole Ballet foldable ballet flats.
When did you open the Blacklion store?
We opened Blacklion the day after Thanksgiving just in time for the Holiday rush. We are located in the Park Rd store. We offer many of the great styles from as the Blakeney location.
Anything else about the boutique or the online store that you would like to add?
We strive to keep our inventory fresh and timeless, by adding new brands and staying on top of the latest footwear trends. I am particularly excited out Spring 2012, I think it is one of the best spring season I have seen so far. There are so many new trends that even the non shoe lovers will find their “footing” this coming spring season. My personal favorite is the Blocked heel that has emerged with a new flare from metal details, feminine lines to retro vibes.

A life-long fat girl, Sommer Johnson decided to strap on some fancy tennis shoes, wrestle into a sports bra that would likely be one size too small (they always are--that's what you get with big boobs), and go on a 38 week journey to run the Peachtree Road Race. In the midst of trying to find her healthier self, she found that her struggle was not all that rare. Between the full-figured audience of her online publication, Gemini Magazine, and friends who were rowing up the fat river with no paddle, Sommer decided to share her journey to help women like her get past their fears (and get moving--literally). A runner newbie, Insanity graduate, Turbofire enthusiast, and foodie experimenter, Sommer Johnson is a 32 year old mother of 2 and wife of 1 who lives in Atlanta, GA.
