BRIEF! A Fete for Fashion returns to the runway and the Queen City Saturday August 11. In his third year, BRIEF!, the brainchild of businessman and philanthropist Dan Mauney, is a collision of fashion, style and philanthropy. Mauney was inspired to action in 2009 by Oliver, the son of a close friend. Oliver, age 2, was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a life-threatening genetic disease.

“BRIEF! is unique in its nature because of it’s unique product,” Mauney says. “We have created an incredible runway to educate and raise the awareness of CFF and RAIN while sending the area’s hottest male models down the catwalk. It’s going to be a lighting, musical and male model extravaganza.

The event has raised more than $50,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) and has hosted over 800 attendees during the first two years. Now back in his third year, BRIEF! will partner with CFF and will add another beneficiary, Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN), a local HIV/AIDS non-profit.

The centerpiece of the annual event is the runway show featuring delicious male models wearing underwear and swimwear from designers such as Polo Ralph Lauren, C9 by Champion, Andrew Christian, Mundo Unico, Baskit Wear, Artillery Underwear among others. Surprised entertainment is planned for this year’s event.

Tickets are currently on sale and range from $25 to $125 and may be purchased at www.briefafeteforfashion.org. All attendees will receive a FREE 2013 Men of BRIEF! Calendar featuring the cast of this year’s event (while supplies last).
