More than 1,200 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Americans and their straight allies are expected to attend the public party to support equality and unity. The party will celebrate the indomitable spirit of the LGBT community across the country, as well as right here in the Carolinas.

Live entertainment for the event includes:

Debby Holiday: The singer burst onto the dance music scene in 2004 with the anthemic “Dive.” Her latest single “Key To Your Soul,” is accompanied by an anti-bulling video directed by Del Shores.

Suzanne Westenhoefer: The first openly gay comedian to appear on television with features on Letterman, HBO, Bravo, Logo and GSN among others.

DJ Justin Ryan: Justin has quickly become one of the most sought after acts.  He is known for his uplifting vocals and alluring melodic mixes. The international DJ was named best up and coming DJ by JustCircuit Magazine.

Lindsay Katt: The singer/songwriter has received acclaim both from her deeply devoted fans, as well as the commercial world of pop. Her work has been featured on MTV’s “The Real World” and “Teen Mom,” and ABC’s “Castle.”

The Carrie Marshall Band: Carrie Marshall’s piano and vocal style is reminiscent of other piano pop songstresses such as Adele, Norah Jones and Diana Krall.

The event, one of few that is open to the public, is scheduled for 8 p.m. Sept. 2, 2012 at the NC Dance Theatre in uptown Charlotte. It is expected be the defining LGBT event of the Democratic National Convention.
