Star power is in the Carolinas – and it’s all to formulate possible solutions on job creation. Arianna Huffington and The Huffington Post, joined by NBC News, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Starbucks, The MCJ Amelior Foundation, The Ford Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation, The Skoll Foundation, City Year, Opportunity Nation, OurTime, Purpose, Startup America, StartUpHire,Valencia College, Venture for America and Year Up team up with notable panelists to discucss job-creating at the DNC.
Opportunity: What Is Working – A Bipartisan Search for Solutions to the Jobs Crisis is an exhibition showcasing social entrepreneurs, small businesses, and innovative ideas that provide skills and training to create jobs.
The lunch panel discussion moderated by Tom Brokaw focusing on concrete job-creation initiatives, as well as big ideas for future job growth will include panelists Gene Sperling (National Economic Council Director), Julian Castro (San Antonio Mayor and Democratic keynote speaker),will.i.am, Rosario Dawson (actress and Voto Latino founder), and Huffington Post Editor-in-Chief Arianna Huffington.
The event takes place on Wednesday, September 5th at the Ritz-Carlton from noon to 5:30 p.m.
