The Ruffian Spring 2013 collection explores the designer’s love of couture within their neighborhood-  Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  Their Spring collection is a juxtaposition of street style with runway. Luxury fabrics were used in utilitarian cuts and shapes.   The collection featured Williamsburg toile print, seer sucker, and stripes in classic cuts like blazers and boyish cut shorts and pants. The blouses and corsets added femininity to the look.  The models’ hair was up in a teased and disheveled hair hump while nude shades were used for the models’ make-up with few looks incorporating bright red lips. To add to the boyish contrast to the feminine qualities of the collection, the models all wore Converse sneakers with each look.
