Menopause the Musical® is certain to bring a smile to your face as this light-hearted comedy salutes women going through the inevitable change. The show takes place in a department store, where four women who meet by chance. bond over discussions about hotflashes, night sweats and mood swings. The 90-minute production features fun parodies from the ’60s ’70s and ’80s, with fun numbers such as “Puff, my God I’m draggin,” and “I’m Flashing.” The show has debuted in 15 countries around the world, and all over the United States. And now it’s our turn here in Charlotte. Check out one of the three showings at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Knight Theatre, October 18 – 21.
Menopause The Musical® encourages a healthy dialogue about issues of aging and women’s health and provides a unique opportunity to raise awareness with female audiences. Recognizing the show’s great potential to engage and educate women, writer and producer, Jeanie Linders, produced two tours of Menopause The Musical® Out Loud: Breaking the Silence of Ovarian Cancer. These successful tours traveled across America and visited more than 100 different cities raising awareness and funds for local and regional ovarian cancer chapters. Menopause The Musical® also supports the Jeanie C. Linders Fund® a nonprofit organization that supports women in the areas of health, education and culture around the world.
